  • Melt together the mushrooms and carrots in the microwave for three minutes until soft. After adding 1 cup or 125 grams of the cabbage mixture, stir it until it is completely incorporated.
  • To make the filling for the shrimp, combine the shrimp with one cup (125 grams) of the cabbage mixture, and stir the mixture until the shrimp are completely incorporated.
  • In the center of each dumpling wrapper, place a heaping tablespoon of filling. Apply a thin layer of water to half of the wrapper’s surface with your finger, then remove it.
  • Use your fingers to seal the seams of the moistened wrapper by folding it over the filling. Re-fill and re-wrap with the remaining fillings.
  • In a large skillet, bring the oil to a temperature of medium-high and add a few dumplings. Cook the dumplings in batches. Put on the lid and a little water when the bottoms of the dumplings begin to brown.
