This process involves adding air to the milk with the help of some kind of machine called a frother. This machine will churn out cold air at high speed and force it into your cup full of hot milk which will cause bubbles to form on its surface.

To froth milk, follow the same steps, but increase the speed at which you move your wand and lower it more quickly into your milk. The result will be a foamy substance that you can use to top drinks or create latte art with.
