  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, pounded to a thickness of ¼ inch

  • Preheat the deep-frying oil to 350 degrees F. (175 degrees C).
  • Season flour and panko bread crumbs with salt and pepper on separate dishes.
  • In a medium mixing basin, beat the egg. Flatten the chicken pieces and coat them in flour, then egg, and finally bread crumbs.
  • In hot oil, fry breaded chicken breasts until golden brown and no longer pink in the centre, about 8 minutes. To absorb excess oil, place on a paper towel-lined platter.

  • Pork should be dipped in beaten egg. Place the pork on a tray and coat it with panko breadcrumbs once more.
  • Heat the canola oil in a deep pan to roughly 340 degrees Fahrenheit, as measured by a frying thermometer. 5–6 minutes in a deep fryer with breaded meat.
  • Cook for another 5 minutes on the other side, or until the pork is cooked through and browned. Drain the pork on paper towels after removing it from the oil.
  • Green cabbage should be finely shredded and soaked in ice-cold water while the pork is resting.
  • Drain the shredded cabbage thoroughly.
  • Cut each tonkatsu lengthwise into small pieces and serve with shredded cabbage on the side. Before serving, drizzle some of the tonkatsu sauce over the tonkatsu.
