Difference between apple cider vinegar and white vinegar?

Apple cider vinegar 

Apple cider vinegar is a frequent ingredient of juice blends, teas, dressings, and sauces due to its fruity taste. Mix 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp of lime juice to replace 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. 

Alternatively, use  2 tbsp of white wine. These substitutes will imitate the flavor of the cider vinegar but won’t be equally healthful.

Balsamic vinegar 

Balsamic acid is mildly acidic and sweet. It undergoes an aging process to develop its taste, therefore, It is quite expensive. It is often added to dressings, glazes, and sauces. Use 1 tbsp of brown rice vinegar or Chinese black vinegar in place of 1tbsp balsamic vinegar. 

Champagne vinegar 

Champagne vinegar is not too acidic and is best known for its addition to the champagne vinaigrette. Besides, It can also be used in glazes for pork, chicken, and other meats. 

To replace the tbsp of the mild-flavored champagne vinegar, use 1 tablespoon of either white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar. White wine is also a good substitute.

Red wine vinegar 

Italian American salad dressings are incomplete without red wine vinegar. It is also used in cooking chicken and other types of meat. Mix red wine and white vinegar in an equal ratio to substitute red wine vinegar. 

To replace a tbsp of red wine vinegar, mix 1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar with 1 1/2 teaspoons red wine. If you want to skip alcohol, use a combination of grape juice and white vinegar instead.

White wine vinegar 

White wine vinegar adds a perfect acidic kick to salad dressings, meat glazes, and sauces. To replace 1 tbsp of white wine vinegar, use 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white wine.

White vinegar 

White vinegar makes for a great household cleaner. Not only this, but white vinegar is also to add an acidic punch to salads (coleslaw in particular), barbecue sauce, pickled vegetables. 

Do not replace white vinegar with any other type of vinegar when It comes to canning or pickling because the acidic level of white vinegar is what prevents microbial growth.

Malt vinegar

Raspberry vinegar
