This method takes a lot of time and takes about 2 hours for the avocado to defrost completely. If there is time, this is the best way to defrost avocado, however, this method will not work if you are in a hurry.

The microwave method is fairly simple, pop the avocado after removing the wrapper into the microwave. It is very important that the avocado is cut into two halves and the pit is removed before popping it in the microwave.

It is also advised to poke a few dents with the help of a fork, because if the avocado is allowed to defrost as a whole, it will explode. Since avocado has 70% water, there is a lot of steam and this makes them explode.
